It’s Harvest-Fest time at the fair.
Alaska’s biggest, best cabbage is there.
Overjoyed we will shout.
When the winner sings out.
For there’ll be plenty of cabbage to share.
Fair time in the Mat’nuska Valley,
Never once has there been such a rally,
All gather to cheer,
The cruciferous sphere!
Hail the judges and weights they will tally!
Dr. Bob Turvey,
As we exit the new double-jab age,
There’s NOTHING that’s rhyming with cabbage!
The Alaska State Fair
Is still off’ring a prayer
For some sun and much use of the flab gauge.
