Learn the fundamentals of starting a backyard flock for eggs, meat or fun. Topics include breed selection, equipment, brooding, coop design, nutrition, diseases and even a little chicken psychology. The class is being taught by Steve Brown, Extension Service Professor. Registration limit 15. The class has a non-refundable fee of $5 per person at time of registration. Alaska State Fair is a private non-profit organization and the proceeds support our conservation efforts of Rebarchek Farm.
Directions: The Rebarchek Agricultural Park is located adjacent to the Fairgrounds. Turn into the red parking lot (entrance with the flashing electronic sign) and follow the signs with event arrows.
