Grow a Giant Cabbage

Come learn how to grow a giant cabbage to enter in the Alaska State Fair Giant Cabbage Weigh-off.  It’s fun and easier than you think! Participants will learn many of the jealously guarded secrets of growing a behemoth cabbage.  Each participating family will receive a free giant cabbage start to plant.  There will also be instructions on how to enter your cabbage in the Alaska State Fair.  Registration is required and is limited to 20 families. There is a $10 fee per group. The class is being taught by UAF Cooperative Extension horticulturalist Dr. Steve Brown at the Rebarchek Agricultural Park.
