Overview:
Winter in Alaska is no jokeโand neither is what it can do to young trees, tender perennials, and all the hard work weโve put into the Food Forest. This hands-on session is all about getting ahead of the freeze. Weโll dive into seasonal strategies to protect soil health, insulate roots, and guard trees against moose and volesโso the Food Forest can not only survive winter, but come back stronger in spring. Whether you’re prepping your own garden or learning for the future, this is practical knowledge that pays off long-term.
