MVFCU and Alaska State Fair Announce Expanded Partnership and Naming of MVFCU Event Hall

MVFCU becomes the official credit union and official financial institution of the Alaska State Fair and secures naming rights for the year-round event venue.

PALMER, Alaska, August 17, 2026: Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union and the Alaska State Fair today announced multi-year agreements extending through 2030 that designate MVFCU as the official credit union and official financial institution of the Alaska State Fair and establish naming rights for the MVFCU Event Hall.

The agreements include naming rights for the MVFCU Event Hall, continued MVFCU visibility throughout the fairgrounds and in Fair marketing, use of the Event Hall for MVFCU events, and an exclusive MVFCU ATM inside the facility.

The MVFCU Event Hall will serve as a year-round venue for Fair activities, conferences, weddings, banquets, trade shows, community events, and other celebrations. The partnership gives MVFCU a prominent presence at one of Alaska’s most recognized community destinations while supporting the Fair’s ability to welcome residents and visitors throughout the year.

“For nearly eight decades, MVFCU has grown alongside the communities we serve,” said Chad Ritchie, President and CEO of MVFCU. “This expanded partnership with the Alaska State Fair, including the naming of the MVFCU Event Hall, reflects that same long-term commitment to investing in the Valley and supporting places that bring Alaskans together.”

“This multi-year naming rights partnership with MVFCU reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Alaska’s communities,” said Alaska State Fair CEO Blake Allen. “The MVFCU Event Hall is more than just a building; it’s a place where people will gather to celebrate, learn, connect, and create lasting memories for generations to come. We’re proud to partner with an organization that shares our values and believes, as we do, in the power of community and the importance of investing in Alaska’s future.”

The Alaska State Fair has long been an important part of the Mat-Su community. MVFCU’s expanded role will be visible through the Event Hall, fairgrounds signage, Fair communications, and 2026 community activations. Together, the agreements reflect both organizations’ long-term commitment to the Valley and to creating meaningful community experiences.
