- August 28, 2016 • 6:00 pmKONGOS with special guest July Talk
This event is expired and not part of the 2020 schedule.
In October 2012, July Talk celebrated the release of their self-titled, independently released debut album before a couple hundred bodies. Three years and roughly 20 tours later, the Canadian rockers were playing a homecoming date for tens of thousands of fans shouting the words of their songs back at them.
In the interim, their debut record, featuring favorites like “Guns + Ammunition” and “Summer Dress,” had become a staple on modern-rock radio, earning the band a gold record in Canada and a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year.
Known for their electrifying concerts and confrontational, sensuous rock + roll, the alternative blues-rock band is at work on album number two, Touch, scheduled to drop later this year. They released a new single, “Push + Pull,” from the album in April. Consequence of Sound described the song as a “dynamic new single” that “brings garage rock to the discotheque.”
The Toronto five-piece features the talents of Peter Dreimanis, Leah Fay Goldstein, Josh Warburton, Ian Docherty and Danny Miles.
Fair admission additional. Convenience fees apply. Please note there is no seating at this concert.
