    Alaska Morgan Horse Association (AMHA), Parade of Stallions, will be held at the France Equestrian Center, Sunday, May 11, 2014. The public is invited to attend the "Kick off" of the summer horse show season with AMHA in celebration of Mothers' Day.


    Alaska Stallion owners will be at the France Equestrian Center with their Stallion Studs to exhibit the many qualities that their breeds have to offer. Stallions are shown in hand and under saddle. Friends and families Welcome to come enjoy the show!

  • Glacier Equestrian Events Summer Circuit I Horse Show

    Glacier Equestrian Events will be hosting their Summer Circuit I Horse Show at the France Equestrian Center, May 29 – June 1, 2014. The general Public is invited to come see the Horse Show; no spectator admission fees are required so, bring all your family and friends to enjoy the show. Enter through the Yellow Gate on the east side of the fairgrounds and the France Equestrian Center is on your left as, you enter through the Yellow Gate.

    Registration is open for all Exhibitors and the closing date for registration is Friday, May 23, 2014. Show Championships to be awarded and Circuit Championship awards are based on points earned at all (3) of the Summer Circuit Horse Shows.   • Alaska Treasure Seekers 38th Annual Metal Detecting Hunt

    The Alaska Treasure Seekers Society is dedicated to family outings in search of lost or discarded items from the past. The club hosts a spring and fall hunt and an annual treasure hunt, open to everyone. At the Annual hunt you would use your metal detector to find coins and tokens to trade for prizes ranging anywhere from new hats to new metal detectors.


    You are invited to come join in the fun! Alaska Treasure Seekers will be having their 38th Annual Metal Detecting Hunt at the France Equestrian Center, June 14 – 15, 2014. The hunt will go on all day, Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and we look forward to having you and your friends join in the games or try your hand at speed panning.   • Alaska Summer Solstice Flyball Tourneys

    Flyball is a fast-paced and exciting sport with teams of four dogs that compete in relay races. Each dog jumps over four hurdles, triggers a spring-loaded box, catches a ball, and returns over the hurdles. The first team of four dogs to complete the course without errors wins the heat. The competition will include a wide variety of breeds and mixes both large and small, including a, a Siberian Husky (ranked #4 among the breeds in North America), a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (ranked #6), a 65-pound Bernese Mountain Dog/Lab, and a 7- pound Rat Terrier.
    June 25-26 and June 28-29 (make-up rain days June 27)

  • Cook Inlet Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show, Obedience, and Rally Trials

    Cook Inlet Kennel Club invites you to attend Alaska's Largest Dog Show.

    The CIKC All Breed Dog Show, Obedience, and Rally Trials will be held on Friday - Sunday, July 25 - 27.

    Cook Inlet Kennel Club is dedicated to the sanctioning of events for the purebred dog and holds licensed Conformation Shows, Obedience, and Rally Trials. CIKC provides affordable training for the community and new members are always welcomed. Pre-registration is required for dog handlers as they strive to preserve the purebred dog.

  • 2014 Alaska Hunter Jumper " 37th Annual Benefit Horse Show"

    The 2014 Alaska Hunter/Jumper Association is proud to benefit the Eva Foundation.

    The Eva Foundation mission is to help survivors of abuse regain self-confidence and independence to build a better life. The Foundation provides esteem building necessities to help recovering survivors secure an abuse free future for themselves and their loved ones. The Eva Foundation is a non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors, helping with personal care items such as glasses, haircuts, dental work, and clothing. By providing self-esteem building necessities, and programs assisting kid's, pet's and elder's, the Foundation helps fulfill a survivor need other social service entities do not.
    The Alaska Hunter/Jumper Association, Inc. has greatly appreciated your past support. We hope you will support us again this year as we organize another great horse show, this time to benefit the EVA Foundation. Spectators from the general public are welcome to watch the Benefit Horse Show and donate to the Eva Foundation if, they wish.

  • Alaska Gun Collectors Association Fall Gun Show

    Alaska Gun Collectors Association (AGCA) invites you to attend their fall Gun Show, October 4 & 5 , at Raven Hall. The Gun Show will be held 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday; admission price is $7.00 for Adults and children 12 and under are free with accompanying adult.


    Over the years, the Alaska Gun Collectors Association has accumulated the largest and most extensive collection of Alaska commemorative firearms in the world. This collection has been exhibited at the Annual Meetings of the NRA in various parts of the “lower 48”. AGCA Mission is to provide, encourage and support a direct and continuing means for collection, trade, sale and display of firearms and other associated items of historical and current interest.


    AGCA offering “Free” Shuttle Bus Rides from the (south) Red Parking Lot to Raven Hall so, bring the family to enjoy the show. The Gun Show will have many different vendors with various gun collections to choose from; plan to stay a while and attend informative seminars regarding gun safety. Coming during lunch?
