Outback in Alaska Have you ever heard of a "Galah," "Kookaburra," or a "Wallaby?" You might not see these creatures unless you travel to Australia, or to Palmer, Alaska. That's right…Alaska! "Outback in Alaska" is coming to the 2011 Alaska State Fair, with wild birds and animals from "The Land of Oz" including Kangaroos, Cockatoos, and Lories. You can even get up-close and personal with the Parakeets in a walk-through aviary. "Birds Down Under," a free flight bird show featuring Australian species will take place daily at 1:00, 4:00, 6:00 pm on weekdays and 12:00, 2:00, 4:00 & 6:00 pm on weekends. |
