Getting to the Fair
The Fairgrounds are located just an hour's drive north from Anchorage on the Glenn Hwy, one of Alaska's scenic byway. This year visitors have plenty of options and can travel by bus, train or automobile to the Alaska State FairMotorcycle Parking is at the north end of the grounds. Riders may turn on the Inner Springer North Loop (Spenard Builders) crossing the Railroad tracks turn right and follow the signage. Parking fees will be collected there.
Accessible Parking is at the Red, Yellow, and Purple Lots only. These areas have the closest entrance to the Fairgrounds.
Tow-Away Zones - Parking on the Glenn Highway or right-of way by the fairgrounds is not allowed, as Department of Transportation close this area for the safety of pedestrians. The area will be closed off and clearly marked “no parking.” Any vehicles parked there will be towed.
