What piece of music best evokes the response one has before heading our from the starting line on their RallyCross run? Wagner's "Flight of the Valkyries" has become a background montage for many as they embark our on a great adventure. Come out and bring your most fierce game to the course!
The third of the Region's RallyCross Winter events will be held on Saturday, February 13th at the Alaska State Fairgrounds. We hope to see you there with engines revving, belts fastened and helmets on!
Interested applicant must hold a valid state-issued drivers license and insurance on the participants vehicle; contact Rally Steward, Rebecca Bastien at, (907) 355-5331 for more information. Families with Heart Health and Education Fair

The Alaska PTA and Aurora Equine Therapy are sponsoring a community-wide Family Health and Education event on February 13th, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Raven Hall. The purpose of the Families with Heart event is to increase awareness of health and educational programs, and resources available to families in the Matanuska Susitna Borough.

The Mat-Su Miners will be holding their 28th Annual Grand Slam Raffle, Saturday, April 24, in Raven Hall. Only 400 tickets to be sold, one ticket admits two people to the drawing which includes: free food and beverages only to ticket holders and a complimentary season pass that admits two people for the 2010 Mat-Su Miners Baseball Season Home Games. Alaska Dogs Gone Wild will host their 5th Annual Alaska Summer Solstice Flyball tournaments at the Alaska State Fairgrounds, June 23-24 and June 26-27, 2010. This event is free for spectators and will consist of two separate two-day tournaments, with make-up rain days on June 25 and June 28th.
