Meet the Mentors and Learn More about the Intern Opportunities
Photography
Hang out with freelance photographer, Clark James Mishler, who photographs people, animals, giant vegetables, events and activities for the Alaska State Fair. Learn about the equipment of photography and assist with lighting set ups. Discover how a photographer searches out interesting angles for better images and learn how to approach people in order to properly gain their permission and cooperation. Youth interested in applying for this mentorship should have an intense interest in photography and some past instruction or experiences that demonstrate a history of work with photographic media. Meet the Mentor Clark James Mishler trained as a graphic designer, and was first introduced to the photographic process in the early 1970's at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.
