MASCOT provides weekday service between Palmer, Wasilla, and Anchorage during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

2008 Alaska State Fair Train
Take the train and avoid the traffic jams while enjoying a scenic and relaxing ride from Anchorage to the Fair! This year’s schedule includes two trains on both Saturdays, August 23 and 30, one train both Sundays, August 24 and 31, as well as one train on Friday, August 29.
Schedule for:
First Train on Saturday, August 23 and August 30
Only train on Sundays, August 24 and August 31
- Depart Anchorage: 0900 am
- Arrive Palmer: 1030 am
- Depart Palmer:4:30 pm
- Arrive Anchorage: 6:00 pm
Schedule for:
Second Train on Saturday August 23
Only train on Friday, August 29
- Depart Anchorage: 1:30 pm
- Arrive Palmer: 3:00 pm
- Depart Palmer: 10:30 pm (later departure to allow for Fireworks viewing)
- Arrive Anchorage: 11:59 pm

Second train on Saturday August 30
- Depart Anchorage: 1:30 pm
- Arrive Palmer: 3:00 pm
- Depart Palmer: 10:00 pm
- Arrive Anchorage: 11:30 pm

All tickets are round-trip, and include Fair admission. Purchase tickets from the Alaska Railroad at 265-2494 or 800-544-0552. All sales are final.
